The Spirit of God is not divided against the Word of God. If any try to give a scripture that makes confusion of the Word. All you have to do is keep reading the Holy Bible, and the Word will put Himself back into context; God is not the author of confusion!
There are spirits that go to this scripture (and many others) from Matthew chapter six so they can teach their version of prosperity. It is written: “But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness; and all these things shall be added to you.” Then the prosperity minister talks about how the Lord will bless them that give him money. He tells people that if they have enough faith, God will bless them with a new car, better job, better position, and even money!
If one allows Jesus to continue in the same scriptures, it is written: “Do not lay up treasures on earth for yourselves, where moth and rust corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal. But lay up treasures in Heaven for yourselves, where neither moth nor rust corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal. For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.” Also, this is written: “Therefore do not be anxious, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, With what shall we be clothed? For the nations seek after all these things. For your heavenly Father knows that you have need of all these things.”
Jesus taught that we should seek the kingdom of God first and then He shall provide us our needs. That is food, drink, and clothing; nothing more and nothing less. Jesus teaches that we should not take heed of what we need. But the prosperity minister has his people taking heed of even more than what they need: the opposite of what Jesus taught! The prosperity of God is not the prosperity of these other ministers.
In one way or another, many have forgotten that Jesus also said this: “And He said to those who sold doves, “Take these things away from here. Do not make My Father's house a house of merchandise.” The many have found excuses to ignore the Lord. They sell books and tapes of their prophets, and most are not even Biblical; mixing truth with error; the corrupt tree! Others sell special bottles of oil and many other products. I am told by some; ‘we do not sell doves.’ Hypocrisy! merchandise is merchandise; that which is for sale.
In the book of Revelation chapter eighteen, it is written: “And the merchants of the earth will weep and mourn over her, for no one buys their cargo any more; the cargo of gold, and silver, and precious stones, and of pearls, and fine linen, and purple, and silk, and scarlet, and all thyine wood, and every ivory vessel, and every vessel of very precious wood, and of bronze, and of iron, and of marble, and cinnamon, and incenses, and ointment, and frankincense, and wine, and oil, and fine flour and wheat, and beasts, and sheep, and horses, and chariots, and slaves, and souls of men.”
Read chapters seventeen and eighteen of Revelation. You will then know that the Lord is talking about the judgment of; MYSTERY BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND OF THE ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH. In the same book we are taught that the sea is many peoples. So then, these merchants ships are not ships that ride the oceans; but the merchants that use them sure do sell a lot of stuff, and the many buy it and swallow it down! Jesus taught us in a parable that foolish virgins buy their oil from them that sell. Can you see the ships that He is talking about? There are very many! Let them that have ears to hear, hear.
Let the apostle Peter give you another good hint; in chapter two of his second letter it is written: “And many shall follow their pernicious ways; by reason of whom the way of truth shall be evil spoken of. And through covetousness shall they with feigned words make merchandise of you: whose judgment now of a long time lingers not, and their damnation slumbers not.”
Peter is talking about false ministers! False spirits will use sharp focus on parts of the Word; and blurry focus (if at all) on the parts that expose them: They are careful not to expose themselves. They also make complex theology out of simple teachings. With so much evidence given to us by the Word of God concerning false spirits; we find it amazing that so very many cannot see them, nor how wide spread they really are! They are everywhere! Selling the lies mixed with truth, selling ritual and ceremonialism for worship and works, selling wormwood for pure water. Jesus did warn us!
I pray that you can hear the Lord loud and clear: “Do not make My Father's house a house of merchandise.” Satan has many types of ships. With one false ship or another; he has deceived the many! No wonder they all have put off the Name of Christ (Christian) and have come up with their own great swelling names. Did you know that when filling out a state form for employment, military service... that the state will not accept Christian as a religious denomination?
Now can you hear Jesus in the second chapter of Revelation? It is written: “I know your works and tribulation and poverty (but you are rich), and I know the blasphemy of those saying themselves to be Jews, and are not, but are the synagogue of Satan.” And again in chapter three of Revelation, it is written: “Behold, I give out of those of the synagogue of Satan, those saying themselves to be Jews and are not, but lie; behold, I will make them to come and worship before your feet, and to know that I have loved you.”
Satan has deceived the many into believing anything but that this is happening in this very hour! Jews in the above scriptures does not mean the genealogy blood line of the Jewish race. Remember we were grafted in! Paul said, “there is neither Jew nor Greek...” The word for synagogue in the New Testament (ancient Greek) also means; church!
In the second letter to the Corinthians chapter two, it is written: “And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light. Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works.”
One can easily expose them; if one has a love for the truth. They take the Word out of context so they can make a living off of them that eat from the tree of truth and error mixed together. Know the truth and the truth will make you free. It would be easy to set them free; if it were bondage by chains that one could see. But it is by the truth mixed with lies. Bondage; by feeding people the corrupt tree: The serpents poison!
